Aviemore Guided Gravel Ride 26.08.23

Meeting outside Backcountry Biking in the north end of Aviemore at 9:30am, be sure to arrive early if you want to check out the gravel goodies the shop has on offer. We'll then head north to Boat of Garten before heading into the caledonian pine forest of Abernethy, a particualry special part of the cainrgorms. With plenty of wildlife calling the woods home we'll meander through taking time to stop at lochs, mighty granny pines and see what else is hiding in the woods. 

At Nethy bridge we'll stop for coffee and cake before riding back into the woods past forest lodge and into Ryvoan pass. Passing by a bothy and taking in some of the best views in the area before we descend into Glenmore where theres opportunity for another coffee (or beer) stop. Then making our way back to Aviemore passing some of Scotlands most famous lochs. 

The ride will be guided by Aviemore local Douglas Carchrie, with a background in conservation there will be plenty of stops to chat about the envirnment of the Cairngorms, and the history of the area.
